As previously promised, here are the recipes for two absolutely delicious rum cocktails. These are so simple to make. I enjoyed both of these delights on my recent flight to the UK, aboard my favorite airline, Virgin Atlantic:
50 ml Bacardi Superior Rum
25 ml Fresh Lemon juice
20 ml Velvet Falernim Liqueur
5 ml sugar syrup
Glass (or shaker), rocks, mint sprig to garnish
To mix: place ingredients into a tumbler and add crushed ice. Stir until glass frosts on the outside and garnish accordingly.
Bacardi Daiquiri (this was my favorite):
You need: 50 ml Bacardi Superior Rum
25 ml Freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 heaped teaspoons white caster sugar
crushed and cubed ice
To mix: In a shaker, add all the ingredients together and fill with half crushed and half cubed ice. Shake hard and double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
