Where else can you stand in the middle of a freeway and read out loud? Today, I did just that at the Encinitas Fall Festival, Encinitas. Poor weather caused many vendors to pack up early and leave, and might have dampened the crowd, but not the spirits of the Read Local San Diego authors. We stood in the middle of Highway 101, reading aloud from our respective books, much to the amusement of the crowd brave enough to venture out to the festival. I’m always up for a first.
