Abbreviations: sc = single crochet, hdc = half double crochet, dc = double crochet, sk = skip
Chain 125
Row 1: sc in each chain, chain 1, turn.
Row 2: hdc in first 4 sc stitches, (*chain 1, skip next sc, hdc in next 4 stitches*), repeat from * to * across, chain 1, turn.
Row 3: hdc in all stitches and chain 1 spaces across, chain 1, turn.
Row 4: Repeat row 2
Row 5: repeat row 3
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until blanket reaches desired length. Do not fasten off.
Edging: Round 1: 3 sc in corner being worked, sc in each row along length, 3 sc in next corner, sc in each stitch along end (125 stitches), sc in each row along other side, 3 sc in corner, sc in each stitch along other end (125 stitches), chain 1.
Round 2: SK next sc, 5 dc’s in next sc, (*skip next sc, sc in next sc, skip next sc, 5 dc’s in next sc*), repeat from * to * around all edges. Fasten off and weave in ends.
